Dr. Davies typically performs breast lift surgery as an outpatient procedure while you’re under general anesthesia. The incision pattern she uses depends on the severity of breast sagging. The options include:
Periareolar: Dr. Davies makes an incision along the edges of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. This technique is generally limited to patients with minimal sagging.
Vertical (Lollipop): In addition to the incision around the areola, Dr. Davies makes an incision vertically to where the breast meets the chest (in the shape of a lollipop).
Anchor: Dr. Davies adds a horizontal incision along the breast crease, resulting in an anchor or inverted T shape.
